Stained Glass Golden Zelda Dice Tower

     Okay. So. I finally got around to getting this guy done. This is the same design as the last zelda dice tower, but i wanted to do a throw back to the golden cartridge now that I have figured out a decent method of doing so. The design here is deeply etched as normal, the difference here is that I used Vitrea 160 clear gloss medium and added a copper/gold toned mica powder to it. This was waaaaaaaay easier than the epoxy method I had used on the dice tray, and I can add a lot more mica to it and have it remain stable, though the epoxy method is will still be a tool in my magic box as it has a slightly different effect. I'm extremely happy with the mica, and the way I put everything together smartly enough that i got everything patina'd on the inside. Downside, I think I would like to investigate plating for the solder. I used lead free, which is hard to work with, though I've adapted, and I used copper patina, which is very hard to work with for double the pain, so it may be the fact that it's lead free that the copper it's as shiny and golden as I have gotten it before on actual lead, or maybe I just fucked that up, I dunno.
