Foilwork Lament Configuration

   I completed a trial piece last week for this one, and I decided that I needed to make this larger than scale sized, ~5.5", not just to get in more detail, but also to make it a bit more practical as a lamp. I used a Silhouette Cameo to cut the copper foil for this, making a few modifications to the design to extend it to the edged to connect all of the leading. This piece is fully completed, including the base and wiring, and so is not a trial. I tried another method on this and got the patina to come out better than on the practice piece at least. I did have an issue with heat cracks that I have to work out a fix for, but otherwise, I am super happy with how this came out! As always, the backside of the spectrum antique bronze glass is sandblasted to make it translucent. I will make a larger etched version of this piece, as well a foilwork piece with the box "in motion" like my very first all stained glass attempt.

This is just a single piece, but I took pictures with varying light to let various details show in the alternate lighting conditions.
